Haus Pinter is the perfect starting point for all your excursions – whether in summer or winter.


We are in a paradise for snowshoe hikers, ski tourers and all those who love nature. Many things can be reached directly from the house.

 There are also two toboggan runs and ski slopes for beginners in the immediate vicinity. The large and well-known ski areas such as Hochpustertal, Drei Zinnen, Thurnthaler, Hochstein, Zettersfeld and Golzentipp can be reached in a 15- to 20-minute drive.


Immediately in front of our house are numerous beautiful hiking trails and climbing opportunities,
for everyone – regardless of whether you are a beginner or a professional.

With our location in the south of Austria and on the border with Italy, we are the ideal starting point for day trips – also by motorcycle –
for example to the Dolomites, North Tyrol, Salzburg, Carinthia, South Tyrol or to the Upper Adriatic.

Within 30 minutes in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park – the largest protected area in the Eastern Alps.

Three Peaks

The striking mountain formation of the Sesto Dolomites with its impressive routes is a popular hiking destination – for the novice and the experienced mountaineer.

Großglockner High Alpine Road

The impressive panoramic road is one of the most popular excursion destinations in Austria. It winds through a breath-taking high mountain landscape and offers a view at the highest mountain in the country.

San Candido’s historical centre

With its location in the middle of the Alps and the charming, historic village centre, the village of San Candido in South Tyrol is worth a day trip.

Natural glacier river Isel

Due to its naturalness, the Isel fed by the Umbalkees offers habitat for many animal and plant species and is a wonderful natural recreation area.

Krimmler waterfalls

The largest waterfalls in Austria are an overwhelming natural experience due to their impressive height of 385 meters and let you experience the healing power of water.

City of the Sun Lienz

The charming city with its Mediterranean flair invites you to stroll and linger in numerous shops and cafes. When visiting the historic Bruck Castle or the nearby archaeological site of the Roman settlement of Aguntum, the culture is not neglected either.

Place of pilgrimage Maria Luggau

Maria Luggau, located in Carinthia’s Lesach Valley, with its basilica Maria Schnee, built in the 16th century, is a well-known pilgrimage place.

Hohe Tauern National Park

On tours with the National Park Rangers through untouched terrain and in the visitor centres, you can immerse yourself in the largest national park of the Alps with all its special features.

Umbal Falls

As part of the Isel, the Umbal Falls are a popular destination for young and old due to their impressive jumps in height. The accompanying water trail offers the opportunity to dive into the element up close.
